Cagayan de Oro – Bukidnon Aventure Package

4 Days

Overview

Whitewater rafting in Cagayan de Oro (CDO) is one of the most thrilling and popular adventure activities in the Philippines. Here's what tourists can expect and experience when they take on this exciting river journey:

The Experience

1. Adrenaline-Packed Adventure

Tourists will raft along the Cagayan de Oro River, which winds through lush mountains and valleys. The river features a mix of Class I to Class IV rapids, depending on the season and route chosen, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced rafters.

2. Two Main Rafting Courses

  • Basic Course: Ideal for beginners, covering around 14 rapids in a 12-kilometer stretch. It’s fun and challenging, but safe for first-timers.
  • Advanced/Extreme Course: For thrill-seekers, this course includes stronger currents and more technical rapids, sometimes up to 21 rapids, stretching over 20 kilometers.

3. Scenic Views

The rafting route passes through beautiful, untouched nature—steep cliffs, lush rainforests, and waterfalls. The backdrop is especially stunning, making it not just an adrenaline rush but also a visual treat.

4. Professional Guides

Rafting companies provide trained river guides, who ensure safety, give paddling instructions, and sometimes even throw in fun tricks (like spinning the raft or navigating backward through a rapid!).

5. Safety Gear & Briefing

Before launching, tourists get life jackets, helmets, paddles, and a full safety briefing. Even non-swimmers can join, as long as they follow safety instructions.
